Street Sweeping Zones - Blocking Sidewalks - Current Bail Range - $40 to $55:Citation issuance will take place if the street sweeper has to evade your vehicle and is unable to provide the scheduled street maintenance. Driving off (away from the curb) after the sweeper has passed your vehicle will not exempt you from the citation process. If you drive away under these circumstances, a copy of the violation will be mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle and payment is required within 21-days (see advisement below). If you park your vehicle in anyway that blocks sidewalk access in the designated enforcement area, you can be cited per C.V.C. Section 22500(f). PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING: Failure to pay or contest the citation within 21-days (calendar days) of issuance will cause a penalty increase added to the original penalty and notification made to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to refuse registration of the vehicle until the penalty is paid per C.V.C. Section(s) 4760 & 40207. When any vehicle is registered in California or a foreign jurisdiction is found on a highway or off street public parking facility and that vehicle has five (5) or more unpaid parking citations that have been issued over a period of (5) days or more, the vehicle may be impounded or booted under C.V.C. School District Parking - Current Bail Range - $32 to $42:Please contact the telephone number listed on the violation copy for any hearing request. Permit violations are the most common offense. Make sure you have a current permit, and please make sure it is posted properly in your vehicle so it can be seen by the enforcement Officer. Improperly placed or unreadable permits will certainly generate a citation, which will be noted on the violation copy. There are a host of parking regulations to comply with.
